USFSA Appeals Grievance Decision

USFSA Appeals Grievance Decision

World Skating Federation

We regret to inform you that the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) is appealing the ruling of the independent panel, who, on September 10, 2004, ruled in favor of Jon Jackson and Ron Pfenning in the grievance proceedings against them. The appeal will be heard by those members of the USFSA Executive Committee who do not have a conflict either as a witness against Jackson and Pfenning, a prior or existing relationship with the ISU, or a prior or existing relationship with the WSF.

Because of the pending appeal, the WSF has been advised by legal counsel to temporarily remove the press release and supporting documents concerning the grievance previously published on the WSF web site. Once the matter is resolved, Jackson and Pfenning will be free to share all information related to the grievances against them pursuant to existing Grievance Committee Rules as published in the USFSA rulebook. While the USFSA fought hard to keep this information confidential forever, their own rules prevent them from doing so.
